PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS
If you have the desire to photograph nature, no doubt you enjoy the outdoors. With that being said there is no such thing as an unsuccessful photography outing.
Many times I have brought my friends along on different trips, and one thing that I have always instilled in them which will be my first tip to you is to just enjoy being there.
That is what it’s all about, just being in that setting and then if you happen to catch a glimpse of a bear, or a moose, maybe an eagle or a rare bird it could be a beautiful sunset, those are the kind of things that then give you your bonus. The idea then is to have fun and relax.
EXPERIENCES
My first experience starts when I was just a little boy. My father would always take me on Northern fishing trips with his friends. He too has a love for nature and that I’m very happy to say has rubbed off on me.
We would leave late at night and travel in a homemade camper that he had built. As the miles ticked on I of course would end up falling asleep.
Well, one night when we had stopped about 4 in the morning because of the “call of nature” (if you know what I mean) I was woken up and very sleepily went outside to do my thing along with the other grown-ups. A few seconds later I fully awoke to my father hollering because I had inadvertently stood behind him and relieved myself down his big rubber boots….. while he was wearing them.
We were en route to a place that still some 50 years later is a spot that I like to be at with my canoe, and to this day holds many fond memories. And now my son with his friends makes trips to this beautiful area. It is just South of Parry Sound on Highway 69, and is called Moon River.
